Kanoo Cranes, a division of Kanoo Group and the exclusive distributor of SMIE anti-collision systems in the UAE, has supplied SMIE’s new generation of anti-collision systems, the SMIE ProSite, for management of cranes and ensuring job safety at the Museum of the Future construction project in Dubai.
The SMIE ProSite is a user-friendly, total lift management solution that includes software dedicated to jobsite management, advanced sensors and calculation capacities for enhanced security.
The SMIE ProSite comes with new functions such as centralised visibility of global crane movement in real time, weather and crane activity history, remote bypass of anti-collision function, remote quarantine of out-of-service cranes, simplified management of zoning, and shared planning of crane activity.
A modern LED touch-screen display gives the operator a comprehensive understanding of the working environment. Up to three anti-collision radio networks can managed on a single system.

Recently, Kanoo highlighted the applications of SMIE systems at the international cranes and transport Middle East conference in Dubai, focusing on the technical and commercial challenges faced by the heavy lift industry with regard to the changing market landscape and customer expectations.
