Hitachi Construction Machinery Middle East Corporation (HMEC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd, Japan, has appointed ATECÂ as the sole supplier for HSC cranes in Saudi Arabia to penetrate the heavy lifting market in the country.
ATEC is a business division of Saudi-Arabia-based conglomerate ZMS Group, which also owns Arabian Auto Agency, a distributor of construction, transportation, agricultural, automotive, city cleaning, material handling and sport equipment. ATEC has its main branches in Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam and has service and parts support at another 11 strategically located branches throughout Saudi Arabia.
HSC Cranes is the new brand name of Sumitomo Heavy Industries Construction Cranes Co., Ltd., which manufactures, repairs and sells construction equipment such as crawler cranes, and other auxiliary equipment. The HSC brand name was established in 2018 after Hitachi Sumitomo Heavy Industries Construction Crane Co., Ltd., a partnership between Hitachi Construction Machinery’s crane division and Sumitomo Heavy Industries Group’s crane company for 15 years, was renamed to Sumitomo Heavy Industries Construction Cranes Co., Ltd.
