Magna Tyres has announced that the company is on track to opening its new head office and warehouse in Waalwijk, Netherlands. The approximately 51,000 m2 facililty will have the capacity to stock all major tyre sizes from the Magna portfolio and for all Magna Tyres’ market segments.
Construction of the head office and warehouse is managed by Belgium-based Willy Naessens Group, which is building the facility according to the building research establishment’s environmental assessment method (BREEAM), the sustainability rating scheme for master planning projects, infrastructure and buildings.
BREEAM recognises and reflects the value in higher performing assets across the built environment lifecycle, from new construction to in-use and refurbishment. The Magna Tyres head office has been awarded the BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating for new build and renovation in the design stage.
In 2018, the company started the production of new ‘Made in Holland’ tyres at its Hardenberg factory in The Netherlands and increased production capacity for the all major OTR sizes.
In January 2019, Magna Tyres opened its sales office in North America, in Canada, followed by a sales office in Florida, USA. From 2006 to 13 years later now, Magna have 13 sales office worldwide representing 130 countries. The manufacturer is increasing the production capacity of its Hardenberg factory, again, to cater to the growing demand for ‘Made in Holland’ mining and earthmover tyres in the US. In addition, Magna is also expanding its production capacity in Thailand to take advantage of the growing demand for non-China-made tyres.
