At the Solutrans 2019 expo in France, Goldhofer will be presenting a vehicle specially designed for extreme heavy road transport under the most demanding conditions. The STZ-VP 8 is a high-performance low-loader trailer which offers the flexibility to handle a wide variety of cargos and routes. With a maximum axle load of 16 tons, it offers the carrying capacity required for high loads and working machines in all operating situations, from loading and unloading to negotiating bridges, tunnels and tight bends.
The STZ-VP 8 is designed to handle the highest possible payloads on the crawler deck, which can be extended with drop-in sections for the drop deck. Together with the optional use of the front bogie, that guarantees the flexibility needed to cope with an extremely wide range of cargos, construction machines such as industrial loads. The result is a vehicle that is ideal for transporting ultra-heavy loads over long distances without having to make long detours.
“For our customers, the STZ-VP 8 is a universal solution. It is ideally suited for all transport operations, especially when it comes to transporting heavy machinery – like a 90-ton hydraulic drilling rig to be moved on rough construction site terrain or cranes in the same weight class or heavy crushers to be transported over long distances. The modular concept of our all-rounder also permits the choice between five- or eight-axle configuration, so that individual job specifications can be met more quickly,” explains Romuald Espinasse, Sales Manager France at Goldhofer.
