Norwegian transport operator Nettbuss has signed an order with Iveco dealer Vest Buss Norge for a fleet of 132 buses and minibuses and associated services at Busworld 2015 in Kortrijk, Belgium.

The fleet consists of 107 units of the successful Crossway Line and Crossway Low Entry models, and 25 Iveco Daily minibuses which will feature Iveco’s new and exclusive Hi-Matic 8-speed gearbox.

Nettbuss chose Iveco Bus on account of its experience with the Crossway Euro 6 buses in operation in its fleet since 2014, and their positive reflection on its results in terms of total cost of ownership.

The new buses will come into service between January and June 2016.

Nettbuss will deploy 112 units in Glåmdalen and Grenland, and 14 in Møre – three cities where the company recently won transport contracts – with the remaining six to be integrated into its fleet in Bergen.

Nettbuss is owned by the Norwegian Railroad and operates in Sweden and Norway. With a fleet over 3,300 buses and 7,000 employees, it is one of the largest operators in Scandinavia.
