Liebherr will unveil the R9200, a 200t-class excavator with the largest bucket size for its class, at this year’s Bauma – to complement the broad Liebherr mining product range.
The machine, fitted with an advanced 12.5m3 Liebherr bucket, will offer sustainable performance while delivering fuel efficiency in the most challenging conditions.
The R9200 is designed to match mining trucks capable of carrying payloads of up to 140t, and is also available in both backhoe and face shovel configurations.
It is powered by a Cummins QSK38 diesel engine, at either Tier II (for the Middle East) or Tier IV Interim exhaust emission limits and a rated output of 810kW.
The Liebherr R 9200 excavator is equipped with the Liebherr Litronic Plus system – an intelligent power management system to optimise electrical, mechanical and hydraulic power distribution.
Using a closed-loop hydraulic swing circuit, this system makes the R9200 cycles faster and less fuel-consuming, while independent cooling circuits eliminate parasitic loss while powering attachments.
A cutting-edge cab meanwhile provides operators with a panoramic view of their operation, leading to efficient truck loading and safe machine positioning. It also integrates an advanced electronic piloting control system that is both intuitive and versatile.
Liebherr has built a solid reputation for the development and production of world-class mining equipment over the decades, and the R 9200 combines the best of tradition with innovative thinking.
