Dubai’s Mineral Circles Bearings (MCB) has signed an MoU with Iljin, a South Korean manufacturer of widely-used wheel bearings, to strengthen a partnership established in 2012 focused on the distribution of tapered roller bearings (TRB) technology.
Hassanein Alwan, marketing director for MCB said: “Our relationship with ILJIN is more than a distributorship. We are their strongest partner in the region, and this MOU is a blueprint for us to deepen our commercial investments and trade links.”
Alwan added: “New opportunities arise during difficult times. While everyone else is playing wait-and-see, we have introduced the Iljin TRB range in countries such as Egypt, Libya, Iraq, KSA, and Syria.
“Since Iljin is the OEM for both South Korean and American-made vehicles, we are confident on the success of this venture as these car makers are preferred in the region.”
Yoon Joo Lee, Executive Director of Iljin, said both firms would benefit from each other’s strengths, with Iljin lending brand power; MCB its regional expertise in the second largest market for South Korean vehicles.
