Baalbaki Chemical Industries (BCI) has opened a manufacturing plant in Sharjah, UAE.
The facility, which is located in Hamriyah Free Zone, will be used to produce polyesters and pre-polymers for the GCC, Indian Subcontinent, and the Southeast Asian markets.
The plant boasts an annual production capacity of 40,000 tonnes, and is BCI’s first production facility in the UAE.
Commenting at the inauguration, Hassane Baalbaki, chairman of BCI Holding, said: “We hope to continue to expand our reach in the EMEA [Europe, Middle East, and Africa] region with further investments in system houses, as well as distribution and technical service centres.”
BCI’s Sharjah plant occupies an area of 30,000 sqm. The company has stated that the facility will strengthen its operations in GCC countries, Pakistan, Iran, India, and Southeast Asia.
