Bion Industrial is supplying truck bodies and trailers to the African market.
The UAE-based manufacturer has revealed that it is now trading in Nigeria and Kenya.
The announcement came during this year’s iteration of PMV Live at The Big 5, at which Bion introduced an expanded range of tipper trailers and cement bulker semi-trailers.
In addition to its African endeavours, the Dubai-headquartered firm is active in five GCC markets: the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
Commenting on the company’s presence at exhibition, Noas Al Rawi, CEO of Bion Group, said: “At Bion Industrial, we’re driven by a mission to deliver above and beyond the industry values and customer expectations, and PMV Live provides us with a great opportunity to communicate this ethos.
“The products we’re showcasing today fall in line with our objective to become the global trend-setter in the design and manufacturing of innovative transport equipment solutions, having the highest-quality measures and latest technology. [Bion] is confident that they will be well received,” he added.
The decision to expand has been taken in light of positive growth rates during 2015, according to Bion. The company is looking to increase its annual production rate to 1,500 tippers, following the opening of a new 46,000-sqm manufacturing facility in Dubai Industrial City.
The facility is due to open in 2016, and will accommodate 1,000 employees.
