Saudi Arabia’s National Plant for Healthy Water, Hana Water, has purchased 245 Fuso light-duty trucks, according to Fuso’s parent company Daimler.

The order, which consisted of 224 Fuso Canter light-duty trucks and 21 Fuso Fighter medium-duty trucks, sees Hana Water expand its fleet of Fuso commercial vehicles to roughly 900 units.

The first batch of around100 units has already been handed over to Hana Water by the Fuso-authorised dealer in Saudi Arabia, Alesayi Motors.

The remaining vehicles will be delivered in stages until January 2013.

The Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation is headquartered in Kawasaki, Japan, and is approximately 90%-owned by Daimler AG. In 2011, Daimler Trucks sold about 147,700 vehicles under the Fuso brand, including light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks and buses.
