Premier Motors, Ford Trucks dealer in Abu Dhabi and an Al Tayer Group company, is presenting a 6×4 3543 rigid chassis truck with a 25m3 RosRoca refuse compactor in its first appearance at EcoWaste 2017, an exhibition that is held as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
Powered by the new Ford Ecotorq engine family, the truck is part of Ford’s 2017 range, which comes with more pulling power and more torque, for better uphill traction, than the previous range.
The 6×4 series now delivers a 430 PS and 2,150 Nm of torque, which are increases of 22.8% and 53.6% respectively compared to the previous generation’s 350 PS and 1,400 Nm of torque.
Helal Hanei Omar, VP of Premier Motors, said: “We offer Ford Trucks’ customers a very competitive total cost of ownership with a comprehensive three-year/unlimited-kilometre standard warranty – a pioneering move when we introduced the brand in the UAE in 2014.”
The 2017 Ford series also features an upgraded braking system, with a 400 KW engine brake and optional 600 KW retarder option for a total potential braking capacity of 1,000 KW.
An overhauled front-axle systems also provides a 22% improvement in turning radius over the previous generation – improving the manoeuvrability for drivers on constricted sites.
The series, including the 1843T tractor (4×2), 1833 (4×2), 3543P/M/D (6×4) and 4143M/D (8×4) mixers can be equipped with manual or automatic transmission and on- or off-road cabins.
The 6×4 3543 vehicle is on display at Stand 2240 in Hall 2 at the EcoWaste exhibition being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from January 16-19, 2017.
All vehicles comes with Ford’s Hot Climate Package, with improved A/C and radiator performance and improved cabin isolation and filtration, developed over a two-year period in simulated conditions and through a series of road tests in the region.
Ford has invested $160m in the development of Ecotorq engines and new Ford Trucks, with 750 engineers worked for four years and conducting more than two million kilometres of test driving.
