The Zac Brown Band has employed a trio of compact loaders to pull off a PMV-flavoured take on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

The machines’ buckets were filled with ice water before a team of operators emptied their contents over the Grammy Award-winning country music group. Band members had been doused with ice water from a fire truck just seconds before the stunt’s construction-related finale.

The ice bucket challenge is a phenomenon that is currently sweeping the internet, and has been taken up by a host of world figures and celebrities. Those who accept the challenge pour ice water over their heads in a bid to raise money and awareness for individuals with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

Members of the Zac Brown Band accepted the challenge from their fellow country music star, Hunter Hayes, and clothing brand, Vineyard Vines. Following the successful completion of the stunt, frontman Zac Brown nominated Jimmy Buffett, the Foo Fighters, Bob Lefsetz, and Garth Brooks.

A host of other famous faces have taken up the gauntlet, including former US President, George W Bush, talk show host and actor, Oprah Winfrey, and retired English footballer, David Beckham.

More than $50mn has been raised in aid of ALS since the Ice Bucket Challenge went viral earlier this month, according to TIME.
