Schwarze-Robitec has unveiled the ‘Quick Tool Unlock’ rapid clamping system for tube-bending machines.
The German manufacturer’s latest system enables bending formers to be changed rapidly, and without the need for tools. The result, according to Schwarze-Robitec, is a noticeable reduction in setup time.
The rapid clamping system consists of a split tension rod with clamping lever, and a swivel device. With conventional models, the continuous tension rod to the swivel cross arm must be unscrewed at the top of the bending former in order for the tool to be changed. Quick Tool Unlock, however, requires only the clamping lever to be actuated, leaving the connection to the swivel cross arm disengaged.
In turn, the swivel device can be opened so that the bending former is exposed to the top. The automatic tool clamping system allows the bending former to be removed without difficulty, eliminating the need to unscrew the bending former.
Schwarze-Robitec says that its time-saving technology is self-explanatory and quick. Moreover, the firm points out that all connections, from static to rotating parts, are carried out via rolling bearings, which add to the durability of the machine.
