The North American division of Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment (DICE) will use CONEXPO to showcase three of its brands: Doosan Heavy Equipment, Doosan Portable Power, and Bobcat.
“Altogether, we will be displaying 60 products across more than 3,700m2 of floor space in the Gold Lot,” said Laura Ness Owens, director of communications for the aforementioned DICE brands in North America. “We will also have areas designed for attendee interaction. This will be the second CONEXPO at which the brands will exhibit alongside one another. We have a very strong combined presence in a section of the show that gets a great deal of traffic, and we have a large staff to support it.”
Whilst the opportunity to meet face-to-face with prospective partners is clearly a major selling point for CONEXPO, Owens doesn’t see potential exposure as being limited to the physical boundaries of the event itself.
“Through the show’s website and social outlets, industry media who report on the event, and our own branded channels, we can showcase our newest products to a broader audience,” she said. “It is important to make a favourable impression on site, but we also intend for people who do not attend the show to hear about the products that we introduce.”
DICE will be showcasing its latest Tier 4 engines, and a selection of Doosan-brand attachments will also be on display. Moreover, 2014 represents a milestone year for Bobcat.
“This year marks the production of the millionth Bobcat loader,” said Owens. “We will therefore be unveiling our ‘one-millionth’ edition machines. These skid-steer and compact track loaders have special paint and decaling schemes and interiors, and will be available through authorised dealers in limited quantities during 2014.”
