Chinese construction equipment company, Sany, has launched the first of a new breed of long-reach concrete mobile pumps in Dubai.
The new pump has a reach of 56m and is already being used at an ASGC construction site in the city.
“The pump is very flexible when working on large slabs, making it very easy to pour the concrete to the exact required spot,” said Mr Santosh, chief engineer, Unimix.
The pump is mounted on a Volvo FM420 Swedish chassis, which has been fitted with an extra steering axle to help with stability when driving on the road. The rear-steer axle also makes such a large unit more manoeuvrable on smaller sites.
“We are looking forward to exhibiting the Sany 56m long reach pump at the Big 5 PMV exhibition in November this year,” said Paul Austin-Price, deputy general manger, Al Bakhit Construction Equipment, the sole agent for Sany in the UAE.
