The Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology (ESMA) is set to host the 3rd International Conference on Future Mobility from 7 to 8 November, 2017, in Dubai.
Organised by Messe Frankfurt Exhibitions Organisation, the conference will feature more than 35 international speakers and will showcase a range of eco-friendly vehicles from manufacturers like Tesla, Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen, Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Volvo, BMW, Cadillac, Kia, Renault, and Mercedes-Benz.”
The event, the theme of which is ‘Towards Sustainable and Intelligent Mobility’, is expected to draw the attendance of more than 350 representatives from manufacturing companies, marketing organisations, and governmental sectors.
Dubbed by the organisers as an “international brainstorming event”, the conference will seek to enable the development of a common vision for smart, electrical, and hybrid vehicle system legislation.

The event will also look into mechanisms for communication between vehicles and the surrounding environment, as well as ways to overcome obstacles that may arise in the development of the sector, UAE state news agency, WAM, reported.
Commenting on the event, Abdulla Almaeeni, director-general of ESMA, said: “For the first time, ESMA will be hosting international, regional, and Gulf governments entities to discuss how to develop and support this promising sector, which provides environmentally friendly solutions with positive economic and social impacts.”
According to WAM, ESMA will conduct a two-day roundtable for technology experts and companies producing smart, electric, hybrid, and hydrogen vehicles during the conference.
