The Jordanian capital Amman is hosting 500 Chinese companies this week at the seventh China Products Fair.
The event is one of the biggest of its kind in the Middle East with organisers claiming that 5,000 products will be on display with 10,000 visitors expected to attend.
The event, which last year saw about $83.6 million in deals completed, was opened on Monday by Jordan’s Ministry of Industry and Trade Amer Hadidi,
The event attracts visitors from Jordan, Palestinian territory, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and Egypt, showcases a number of different industries including a big focus on construction and machinery.
Organisers said the sixth edition of the fair provides an opportunity for traders from Jordan and the region to build partnerships and sign deals with their Chinese counterparts and to exchange expertise.
