Mercedes-Benz has rolled out two new medium-duty truck ranges across the GCC.
Four variants – the Accelo 915 C, Atego 1418, Atego 1725, and Atego 1725 A 4×4 – have been introduced by the Germany-headquartered automotive giant.
The Mercedes-Benz Accelo and Atego lines have also been introduced to Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt.
Commenting on the regional roll-out, Roland Schneider, president and chief executive officer of Daimler Commercial Vehicles MENA, said: “There is strong demand for medium-duty trucks across a wide sector of industries and segments in our region, so versatility for fleets is essential.
“The Accelo and Atego set new standards in terms of robustness and productivity, and with the capacity to accept a variety of body types, each model can easily be adapted to a wide range of applications and customer needs.
“In developing the Accelo and Atego ranges, Mercedes-Benz has deployed significant resources to ensure these trucks deliver maximum reliability. Ruggedness, driver comfort, payload, and easy body mounting are the features which set these trucks apart and make them the perfect tools for demanding fleets – in both private and public sectors,” added Schneider.
The Atego 1418 will feature a gross vehicle weight (GVW) pf 14t, a 9.3t body and payload, and an output of 177 hp at 2,200 rpm. The Atego 1725 and Atego 1725 A 4×4 will both boast a GVW of 17.1t, a body and payload of 11.8t, and an output of 245 hp at 2,200 rpm.
The Accelo 915 C, meanwhile, will feature a 9t GVW, a body and payload of 5.7t, and an output of 150 hp at 2,200 rpm.
The latest lines, which arrived in the UAE earlier this year, will deliver versatility, reliability, and efficiency to end users in the Middle East and wider Levant, according to Mercedes-Benz.
