The UAE has presented 50 generator sets to authorities in Aden, Yemen.
The units were delivered in a bid to end power cuts in the Yemeni governorate, according to UAE state news agency, WAM.
The Governor of Aden, Brigadier General Aidarous al-Zubaidi, extended his thanks to the UAE’s leadership and people for supporting efforts to improve services in and around the port city.
Al-Zubaidi applauded the role being played by the UAE, as part of Arab Coalition forces, to “restore the legitimacy in Yemen”. The Governor also praised the country’s efforts to support Yemen’s power sector.
The generators will make a significant contribution to the alleviation of suffering of the Yemeni people, according to al-Zubaidi.
He added that living conditions in Aden are improving, and that the coming period will witness more achievements.
