Scandinavian steel manufacturer SSAB has appointed Bion Industrial to its ‘My Inner Strenx’ brand programme in recognition of the UAE-based trailer manufacturer’s quality assured application of its Strenx performance steel.
Bion is using SSAB’s Strenx steel in the trailer chassis for a variety of its different product lines to provide greater structural strength at a lower weight – thereby increasing the transport vehicle’s efficiency and capacity for higher loads.
The company was previously nominated by SSAB, alongside two other manufacturers in the Middle East, to its similar ‘Hardox In My Body’ programme, but Bion is the first to be approved as a ‘My Inner Strenx’ member in the region.
Hardox and Strenx are abrasion resistant steel and high-strength structural steel grades, respectively, that can help transform service life, operational costs and transport equipment efficiency across a wide range of industries.
Strenx is one of the world’s widest ranges of structural steels in terms of its strength range, from 600 to 1300 MPa, and it can reduce the weight of steel structures by up to 40%.
SSAB’s brand programmes, Hardox In My Body and My Inner Strenx, aim to support customers and foster long term relationships through joint marketing, technical support and customised training.
The membership also gives customers a quality certification from SSAB, in the form of a guarantee to the end user that the manufactured product is made of genuine Hardox or Strenx high-strength steel.
