Balkrishna Industries (BKT) will be heading to this year’s Bauma exhibition in Munich with a new giant radius tyre, the Earthmax SR45 Plus, with an extraordinary height of 2.70m, as well as a range of new Earthmax off-highway tyre sizes.
This giant radial SR45 tyre has been engineered to be ideal for rigid dumpers like the Caterpillar 777 or Komatsu HD785 in long-haul operations, with an all-steel casing structure stands for stability and enhanced cut-and-chip resistance.
The special tread design also has self-cleaning properties and minimizes vibrations and noise. The giant tyre displayed in the outdoor area marks a big step forward for BKT in a market of tyre giants.
Beyond the SR45 and just off the production line is the Earthmax SR 31, a strong and solid all-steel tire with multi-layer steel belts designed for loaders, dozers and articulated dumper. It will be displayed in size 23.5R25 at the BKT stand.
In all, six Earthmax series tyres will be in the spotlight, including the SR41, an all-steel radial tire for articulated dumpers; the SR47, specially designed for rigid dumpers; the SR53, for loaders and dozers in quarries and mining applications; and the SR 22, for loaders and motor graders.
For on- and off-the-road cranes, BKT will also showcase Airomax AM27, and for the logistics sector, its Portmax and Liftmax lineups, including the Portmax PM90, a multi-layer steel-belted radial tire for reach stackers.
