Concrete specialist Putzmeister will add to its range of underground concrete equipment at Bauma 2016 by unveiling its Wetkret 3 shotcreting equipment and Batchkret 20 underground batching plant.
The Wetkret 3 is ideal for smaller tunnel sections and the rugged, uneven terrain of mines – mounted on a compact rubber-coated crawler chassis to facilitate manoeuvring even on jagged worksites.
Its telescopic spraying arm has a vertical reach of 9m, a horizontal reach of 7m and can be deployed in a minimum section of 2.5m. It can run in both diesel and electric modes, and works well with Putzmeister’s SPM715 Synchro stationary concrete pump.
In addition, hydraulic support legs provide stability, and the on-site safety profile can be enhanced to tolerate a tilt of +/-30 degrees – with an optional rear stabiliser blade for uphill-facing operations and a 50m-long electric winch cable with 6.803kg tractive force for downhill-facing operations.
Completing Putzmeister Underground’s shotcrete offering for a fully-integrated, streamlined shotcrete application process is the Batchkret 20 compact batching plant.
Batching plants are processing units where a homogeneous, consistent shotcrete formula is mixed in a way that will deliver that meets stringent quality requirements.
Designed for the mine, the new Batchkret 20 allows clients to bypass costlier shotcrete transporting systems by taking the production of concrete to the heart of the challenging operating environment.
Batchkret 20 has a compact footprint with an elevated production capacity of up to 20m³/h
It also has a cylindrical pan with 750l capacity, a 14 meter-long cement conveyor belt and a batching booth that protects the control equipment from harsh, underground working conditions.
