Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) has provided four 21t excavators through its local dealer to authorities of Canoa and Esmeraldas in Ecuador which were hit by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake, resulting in 500 deaths and 7,000 injured.

The Hyundai excavators provided to the earthquake-stricken country have now been put to work for clearing and repairing roads and cleaning up the debris of collapsed buildings.

As a corporately responsible company in the countries where it operates, Hyundai aid similarly provided aid to flood-stricken Brazil, and earthquake-hit Qinghai, China; Port-au-Prince, Haiti; and Nepal.

Hyundai exports its equipment, including excavators, wheel loaders, skid loaders, backhoe loader and forklifts, to about 30 countries in Latin America, and maintains a manufacturing facilities in Brazil.
