Scania Middle East is a full-owned business unit of Scania, providing comprehensive support including sales and marketing for trucks, buses, and engines; training and after sales.
Founded in 2008, Scania Middle East makes pre-delivery inspections and warehousing of high quality, fully customized vehicles adapted to the requirements and working conditions in the Middle East.
In 2018, Scania launched its new generation of trucks in the UAE with enhancements in fuel performance with improved powertrains and aerodynamics. The new truck range is the result of ten years of development work and investments of over $2 billion.
Scania is exploring diesel alternatives such as biofuels, which offer the highest CO2 emissions reductions, as well as electrification, hydrogen fuel cells and e-highways, will pave the way to a fossil-free future. UAE companies such as EPPCO/ENOC have been using Euro 5 Scania engines for over two years now, and a number of Scania’s customers in the region have already started using compressed natural gas (CNG) engine vehicles.
