Kärcher is seeing a rise in demand for its cleaning tools in Egypt, thanks to a noticeable preference for machine-assisted cleaning from facilities managers, according to its distributor ELBassiouni & Co.
At Cairo International Airport, 57 Kärcher machines from seven different lines are being used, including the firm’s ride-on scrubber-drier units, ride-on vacuum sweepers, scrubber driers, single-disc models, wet and dry vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners, and high-pressure machines.

Demand for Kärcher’s products across Egypt is also related to the country’s increasing economic activity, stimulated by foreign investments and economic conditions, and Kärcher’s own initiatives in increasing brand awareness and outreach amongst clients and potential clients.

In the Gulf, technological innovations are also increasingly being implemented to address environmental requirements, one example being Sharjah-based waste management company Bee’ah’s purchase of Polaris Ranger desert cleaner units for its fleet.
Meanwhile, Dubai Municipality’s waste management department updated its fleet in October 2016, with the addition of a Cherrington automated sand scraper machine to its fleet for beach cleaning.
