Terex Construction has appointed RMA Group as its truck distributor for customers operating in Laos.
RMA – an infrastructure solutions provider – will offer full sales, service and parts support for both the Terex articulated and rigid truck ranges, which are manufactured in Motherwell, Scotland.
RMA specializes in providing products and services to economies in transition. The company collaborates with development communities in emerging and post-conflict markets to help build, or rebuild, local infrastructures.
The distributor, which already represents global automotive brands such as Ford, GM and Mercedes-Benz, is confident that Terex will add value to its portfolio.
“When looking to expand our heavy equipment fleet, we wanted tough machines that could stand up to the demands put on them by the mining and construction industries,” said Olivier Gaiemet from RMA’s Heavy Equipment Division. “By working with Terex, we are joining forces with a global brand that has extensive experience in mining and construction, and which manufactures a product that is renowned for its robust design and ability to be used in heavy-duty applications.”
RMA’s reputation for customer service was a key driving force behind this appointment, according to regional director for Terex trucks in the Asia Pacific region, Jon Bennett.
“With an excellent reputation in the mining and construction industry, and a strong geographical presence across more than 21 markets, RMA is a perfect fit for us and our customers,” he commented. “We were particularly attracted to RMA’s proven track record of providing a world-class supply and support network through Indo-China since 1986, and also, its dedicated in-house heavy equipment expertise. Providing excellent support to our customers after the sale is extremely important to us, and it was vital we found a distributor with the same ethos – in RMA, we found it.”
