BKT will be supplying 42 giant Earthmax SR 468 tyres, in the 40.00 R 57 size, to South Eastern Coalfields Ltd. (SECL), a mining company owned by the Indian Government’s Ministry of Coal.
The first batch of six tyres made for SECL has already been shipped, while further two batches will reach the customer within a week.
The Earthmax SR 468 is a 57″ tyre – the largest ever made by BKT – manufactured at the BKT plant in Bhuj, India, and designed to equip rigid dump trucks operating in the most hostile conditions.
This huge tyre is characterized by being particularly resistant to attacks and punctures, due to the All Steel structure and it is therefore suitable, for rough and muddy terrain. Winning features of the Earthmax SR 468 are the special tread design and its compound, both created to limit the heat generated. The E-4 tread depth provides extreme resistance in highly challenging conditions.
