JLG has won a $10.2 million contract extension, to ‘reset’ equipment provided to the US military and deployed in the Afghanistan theatre.
JLG, which sells a range of telehandlers to the US military, will carry out a service programme designed to reverse the effects of combat stress on equipment, ensuring that machines are “reset” to optimal condition.
In total the contract is now worth $73.8 million, with JLG’s refurbishment work concentrating on its SkyTrak 6000M, ATLAS, and ATLAS II military telehandlers, as well as other construction equipment deployed in Afghanistan.
The JLG military service team will perform the work in Bagram and Kandahar, Afghanistan, through Aug. 9, 2013.
