The Michelin Summer Safety Campaign carried out by Central Motors & Equipment (CM&E), a subsidiary of the Al Fahim Group, secured the award for the ‘Best Public Awareness Campaign at the 5th edition of Qatar Transport Safety Forum in Doha.
The 60-day awareness from late July to late September campaign was comprised of both external and internal outreach components, with complementary tyre check-ups for members of the public at the Abu Dhabi Fruits and Vegetables Market and for employees at the Al Fahim Group headquarters.
Entitled ‘Summer without Accidents’, the initiative was held in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Police and Michelin Tyres and drew the participation of more than 200 members of the public.
The campaign focused mainly on the hazard presented by faulty or poor-quality tyres, and the threat they can ultimatel pose to the lives of drivers, their families and other road users in the heat of the summer months.
