Al-Futtaim Motors has opened the UAE’s first standalone Toyota Material Handling facility for sales, service, and spare parts (3S).
Located in Dubai’s Umm Ramool area, the ASEC-certified facility’s service area will feature 18 work bays that can be operated simultaneously.
Al-Futtaim Motors, the exclusive distributor of Toyota Material Handling equipment in the UAE, said that the facility will increase uptime for customers in the Emirates.
Ramez Hamdan, general manager of Toyota Material Handling at Al-Futtaim Motors, commented: “The opening of our first standalone Toyota Material Handling facility in Dubai marks a huge milestone for us.
“We pride ourselves on delivering not just reliable equipment of excellent quality [and] premium aftersales services, but also non-stop solution services where customers [can] get full warehousing, logistics, and transportation consultancy, all in one place.”
The 3S Toyota Material Handling facility is home to a mobile robot, which uses laser-guided navigation to transport tools and parts for technicians. Al-Futtaim Motors is confident that the system will serve to optimise efficiency and productivity.
The materials handling facility is situated next to Al-Futtaim Motors’ Umm Ramool Lexus body shop, and will be open five days a week between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
