Bomag appoints new Chief Operating Officer

Automobile and commercial vehicle industry veteran Dr Ingo Ettischer assumed new role at the beginning of July

Road equipment giant Bomag has announced the appointment of Dr Ingo Ettischer as its new Chief Operating Officer.

The Fayat Group company said Ettischer assumed the role at the beginning of July. Together with Ralf Junker, President of the BOMAG Group, and Dirk Woll, Chief Financial Officer, Dr Ettischer will steer the strategic focus and development of the BOMAG Group.

The company’s statement added that Ettischer brings with him many years of global operational and management experience. “In addition to his professional skills, he has extensive experience in the strategic orientation of a company with a particular focus on the transition towards electromobility,” it added.

Ettischer has a PhD in physics and initially worked as a management consultant before subsequently spending several years as Senior Manager for Quality, Planning, Logistics and Lean Transformation as well as Director of Assembly in the car and truck industry.

In his last role as Vice President of Global Operations at an automobile and commercial vehicle manufacturer, he was responsible for production at five locations worldwide.
