Hitachi Construction Machinery Middle East (HMEC) is taking fresh strides in the Jordan market by signing on Tamkeen as its new dealer in the mineral-rich Levant country.
Announcing the new partnership HMEC said that it has “signed an agreement with Tamkeen, which is headquartered in Amman, to be appointed as their authorised representatives in the Jordanian market”.
The agreement was signed by Manabu Arami, President, HMEC, on behalf of Hitachi, with Khalil Abdu Alrubb, Chairman, HINCO-TAMKEEN. Also present were Mohammed Jaber, General Manager, Tamkeen, and HMEC officials.
Speaking about the new dealership signing, Piet Van Bakergem, General Manager – Marketing Department, HMEC, said the move came about in view of Tamkeen’s wide reach and capabilities in Jordan, which translate to better prospects for the Hitachi brand in the country.
“Tamkeen is part of a very dynamic business in Jordan – a fresh, young investment group that is dedicated and on-the-ball with their activities. We believe Hitachi equipment and Hitachi customers in Jordan will be in very good hands with Tamkeen and its dynamism – which is why we decided to have them as our partners in the country,” Van Bakergem said.
Full Hitachi range to be covered by Tamkeen
Tamkeen will provide Hitachi’s full range of equipment in the Jordanian market, he added. “Construction equipment will be a major thrust of course, but mining and other activities will certainly be in focus. Tamkeen has a good network in all of these fields, so at Hitachi we are very confident about our future with them in the country.
“The people at Tamkeen have decades of experience and expertise in the construction equipment sector, which enables them to serve our customers on the ground better. This is among the main reasons we selected them as the representatives for Hitachi in the important Jordan market,” concluded Van Bakergem.
