Himoinsa has launched its full range of “Silent Plus” generator sets, which reduce noise emissions without limiting performance, in the region – having debuted the concept at Middle East Electricity.
The range covers a power range from 20 kVA to 550 kVA, using a range of Stage IIIA engines from Yanmar, FPT and Scania that guarantee noise levels of just 60 dB at a distance seven metres away.
This make the range ideal for use in any environments where there are greater acoustic restrictions.
The low noise emissions have been achieved primarily through improvements to the design of the air intakes and outputs, and a dual core exhaust system has also been included as standard.

The gensets units also incorporate top-quality insulating materials, including high-density, 100mm-thick rock wool and damping blocks customised to suit each unit’s engine-alternator assembly and dynamic characteristics.
The design also isolates the control panel for each unit from the rest of the machine with additional insulation to avoid noise emissions when the door is opened.
The models are also waterproof and have a mechanically highly resistant canopy with stainless steel locks to provide greater security against vandalism or robbery.
High-capacity tanks have also been added to provide running times of at least 24 hours, and in some cases, even as much as 35 hours – or four working days without the need to refuel.
The series also offers all the same optional elements as Himoinsa’s rental range, including cyclonic air filters, leakage detectors, and three-way valves for quick connectors or fuel filter water separators.
