Continental off-highway tyres receive approval as original equipment on Cat dump trucks

Cat customers can specify their off-highway truck models with Continental RDT-Master tyres ex works

Continental has announced its most recent Original Equipment approval of the RDT-Master off-the-road (OTR) tyre. It is approved for use on Caterpillar’s off-highway truck models globally and indicated in the price lists. With this, customers can specify their Cat off-highway truck models with Continental RDT-Master tyres ex works.

Continental said its RDT-Master has been designed to meet the rigorous demands of construction and mining operations. Facing the multiple requirements of earthmoving tyre fitments, the range includes three different sizes: 18.00 R33, 21.00 R33, and 24.00 R35. These tyre sizes are approved for the CAT 770, 772, 773, 775, and 775 WTR models.

This endorsement marks a pivotal milestone for Continental highlighting the quality, durability and performance of its tyres in the earthmoving segment, said the global tyre giant, adding that it is committed to innovation, sustainability and providing solutions that drive efficiency and productivity for its clients.

Continental added that it delivering all its radial earthmover tyres like the RDT-Master as intelligent tyres. These are featuring the latest Bluetooth-enabled sensor Generation II ex-factory ready for digital tyre management. This allows all customers to read essential tyre life data as air pressure and temperature directly via their smartphone without extra investment. Digital tyre management decisively increases operational safety while it ensures a maximum service life. This helps reduce the total cost of ownership and promotes sustainable use of materials.
