The all-new Nissan Patrol, the latest version of the iconic SUV deeply rooted in the heart of the UAE community, was revealed recently in a grand event in Abu Dhabi, as the UAE capital once again marked its place on the global map with the launch of the latest iteration of Nissan’s legendary model.
The launch event celebrated the Patrol’s legacy and paved the way for a new era of mobility advancement. The latest model is not just a car; it’s a testament to Nissan’s commitment to innovation, luxury and performance, making it the most tech-advanced Patrol ever, said Al Masaood Automobiles, the authorised Nissan dealer in Abu Dhabi.
Announcing the launch of the all-new Nissan Patrol, a statement form Al Masaood said that “with cutting-edge enhancements in every facet, from performance and comfort to safety and connectivity, the new Patrol emerges as the most technologically sophisticated model of this SUV to date”, encapsulating “a perfect blend of luxury and capability, making it ideally suited for the diverse terrains and high expectations of its loyal fan base”.
This launch not only continues the Patrol’s legacy of innovation but also reinforces Nissan’s vision for the future of automotive excellence, firmly positioning the Patrol at the forefront of the global SUV market, it added.
From its inception in 1951, the Nissan Patrol has been synonymous with rugged durability and all-terrain prowess. The seventh-generation Patrol continues this legacy but introduces a modern twist — blending classic design elements, cutting-edge technology, and ultimate personalisation, to meet the sophisticated needs of today’s adventurers.
The new Patrol boasts a bolder and more elegant design. Its striking V-motion grille, framed by new adaptive LED headlights, conveys a sense of power and presence. The redesigned rear includes a broad, full-width light bar that enhances visibility and adds to the vehicle’s modern look. Each element, from the ground up, has been thoughtfully crafted to combine heritage with innovation.
Nissan enhances performance
Under the hood, the new Patrol is more powerful than ever, featuring a choice between a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 and a naturally aspirated 3.8-litre V6 engine. The twin-turbo engine, in particular, delivers an impressive 425hp and 700Nm of torque, providing an exhilarating blend of response, refinement and efficiency. Coupled with a new nine-speed automatic transmission, the Patrol offers unmatched driving pleasure, whether navigating the urban sprawl or conquering desert dunes.
Drivers can continue to tailor their drive to perfection with a selection of six distinct drive modes to choose from – standard, sand, rock, mud, eco and sport. The All-New Patrol also introduces a 4WD transfer mode interlock system, a first for Nissan, which offers intuitive handling across various terrains, allowing drivers to seamlessly switch between modes and tackle challenging landscapes with ease.
According to Al Masaood’s statement, the Patrol sets new standards in the SUV segment with its suite of advanced technologies. The NissanConnect 2.0 system integrates seamlessly with Google’s ecosystem, offering real-time navigation, security features and entertainment options — all accessible via a dual 14.3-inch horizontal Monolith display that forms the centrepiece of the revamped dashboard.
ProPILOT, Nissan’s advanced driver-assistance system, enhances the driving experience by providing adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and a stop-and-hold function that can manage vehicle speed based on traffic flow.
Inside, the Patrol is a haven of luxury, describes Al Masaood in its statement, detailing that the new quilted leather seats feature improved ergonomics and include massage functions, ensuring comfort on long journeys. The cabin space is more versatile than ever, with increased roominess and adjustable seating configurations that cater to every passenger’s needs.
The interior of the new Nissan Patrol is dominated by an impressive 28.6-inch horizontal Monolith display, split into twin 14.3-inch screens that seamlessly deliver navigation, entertainment, and comprehensive vehicle information with easy touchscreen interactions. Passengers in the rear aren’t left out: they enjoy dual 12.8-inch screens that allow them to stream media, play games or connect their devices using Miracast, HDMI or USB, ensuring entertainment is always at hand.
Biometric cooling
Enhancing the cabin’s comfort, the Patrol introduces a pioneering Biometric Cooling technology, a feature first in its segment. This advanced system, available in select models, incorporates an infrared sensor that measures the body temperature of occupants in both the front and second rows. Based on these readings, it intelligently adjusts the airflow within the cabin, maintaining an optimal and personalised climate regardless of the external weather conditions.
The All-New Nissan Patrol also introduces an exceptional audio experience with its 12-speaker Klipsch Premium Audio system. Featured in select trims, this system delivers an immersive and crystal-clear soundscape that integrates seamlessly into the Patrol’s interior, thanks to precision-engineered components developed by Nissan and Klipsch engineers, taking the driving experience to all whole new level.
According to Al Masaood, with its increased ground clearance and new off-road capabilities, the Patrol is equipped to take on any terrain. The adaptive air suspension system allows for a smoother ride, adapting to changes in the road surface in real time. Moreover, the enhanced 4×4 capabilities ensure that the Patrol remains the “King of the Desert”, ready to explore the unexplored.
As the Nissan Patrol continues its journey as a legend in the automotive world, this seventh-generation model offers itself as a durable companion for all, prepared to explore the unknown and redefine what it means to lead the way.
