Manitowoc will use The Rental Show 2015 as a platform to showcase its Shuttlelift Carrydeck CD5515-2.
The US-headquartered manufacturer designed the crane to appeal to rental operators specifically, with its compact footprint, long-reach, 13.6-tonne capacity, and 12.5m standard boom.
Manitowoc argues that these features also make the Shuttlelift well suited to applications within petroleum refineries and factories.
“Rental outlets are really finding the CD5515-2 to be a dynamic tool in their fleets,” commented Mike Heinrich, director of sales for industrial cranes and national accounts at Manitowoc.
“Customers are driving demand for rental cranes in the 9-ton to 25-ton (8-tonne to 23-tonne) range. This carry-deck crane falls squarely in the middle,” he added.
The Shuttlelift is available in either a dual-fuel or diesel engine format. The latter can be augmented with an optional 15.24m, full-power boom, whilst a 4.57m boom extension is available for both models.
Representatives from Manitowoc Finance will also be on hand to advise customers in relation to the manufacturer’s range of payment options.
“The Rental Show is a great chance for us to be close to our customers and really hear first-hand what their needs are for the rental market,” Heinrich concluded.
The Rental Show 2015 will be held at New Orleans’ Ernest N Morial Convention Centre from 22-25 February. Visitors will be able to see the Manitowoc Shuttlelift Carrydeck at booth number 9655.
