Doosan has launched a range of light compaction equippment, comprising vibratory plate compactors, upright rammers and walk-behind single and double drum rollers.
The selection of Doosan vibratory plate compactors comprises the six single direction vibratory plate compactors, which ar powered by Honda engines with ratcheting throttle control for manoeuvring around obstacles.
According to the manufacturer these plate compactors are ideal for efficiently compacting granular soils and crushed aggregates.
The range includes the VP-8RH combination compactor which features a removable rubber roller-based vibratory plate designed to compact base materials when the rollers are removed and then for work on finished block work when the rollers are installed.
The VP-8RH offers a plate size of 500 x 480 mm, weighs 133 kg and compacts to a depth of 30 cm with an impact force of 16.7 kN and a vibration rate of 106.7 Hz.
Three upright rammer models, the RX-264H, RX-304H and RX-344H, are also part of the range and are designed for efficient compaction of a wide range of soils from mixed and cohesive types to heavy clay in backfilling and narrow trench compaction applications.
