Raimondi Cranes, an interest of Dubai-based KBW Investments, has appointed Kwitek Krane, which is based in Wenzenbach in the district of Regensburg, Bavaria, as its agent for the south of Germany.
Kwitek Krane supports a multi-branded fleet of 120 European cranes currently active across more than 100 jobsites and supported by a 26,000m2 facility, including warehousing and yard space.
The operator has previously deployed Raimondi cranes on significant jobsites in southern Germany, including the Laubenweg Stadium in Fürth, Bavaria, the Weiden Clinic in Oberpfalz and the teaching hospital of the University of Regensburg.
“Over several meetings, as well as a visit and tour of Kwitek Krane headquarters, it became apparent that establishing this formal agent agreement would prove advantageous for Raimondi Cranes,” said Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, group CEO, KBW Investments.
“Germany’s construction and commercial sectors present significant opportunities, but — like many markets — require a well-established partner who is known in the industry. We’re confident that Kwitek, a four-decade strong family business, will take Raimondi’s market share to new heights.”
Kwitek Krane is currently working to scale its business, and according to its studies of the German construction sector, Raimondi’s premium product, produced since 1983 in Legnano near Milan, Italy, is well positioned with respect to the market’s needs.
Richard Kwitek (Junior), MD of Kwitek Krane since 2010, noted: “Kwitek is pleased to represent Raimondi, an Italian heritage manufacturer with top production and technical innovation and extremely attentive aftersales service.”
The deal with Kwitek follows the appointment of Bennetts Cranes as the official Raimondi agent for England, Scotland and Wales in August 2016.
