Lincoln opens first showroom in the Middle East

Elena Ford, Ford Motor Company’s vice president for global dealer and customer experience, has inaugurated a Lincoln showroom in Oman – the automaker’s first stand-alone showroom for the Middle East

Lincoln has opened its first stand-alone showroom in the Middle East.

The Oman facility was inaugurated by Elena Ford, vice president for global dealer and customer experience at Lincoln’s parent firm, Ford Motor Company.

The event was held under the patronage of HE Said bin Saleh bin Said Al Kyumi, chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and attended by senior figures from Ford Middle East & Africa.

“I am pleased to see the great support that our dealers are lending to the Lincoln brand in the region, and I commend the Arabian car marketing team – under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammed Saud Bahwan – for this fantastic facility, which is truly world class,” commented Ford.

“Being the first stand-alone showroom in the region, it marks a new beginning for our luxury brand in the Middle East, as we work closely with our dealer partners on delivering the right levels of customer ownership experience across our dealerships.

“Lincoln is a luxury brand that clients will be proud to own,” she added.

In addition to the 469m2 Muscat showroom, Lincoln chose to launch its MKC sports utility vehicle (SUV) to the Sultanate.

In September, the manufacturer announced inverstments of more than $2.5bn of capital through 2019 as part of its strategy to “reinvent” itself as a “world-class luxury brand”. The company intends to add four models to its Middle East line-up by 2016.

“Seeing Lincoln re-energised over the past couple of years with its dedicated design studio and unique technologies, I am truly pleased with the new products that are hitting our dealerships, such as the all-new Lincoln MKZ, the first-ever Lincoln MKC compact premium SUV, and the new 2015 Lincoln Navigator, which is just around the corner,” explained Kalyana Sivagnanam, director for marketing, sales, and service at Ford Middle East & North Africa.

“Lincoln customers will be pleasantly surprised as they see these exciting products that boast compelling designs and technologies while offering a bespoke experience,” he concluded.
