POWERPLUS has revealed that its vehicles division, POWERPAC, will be launched as a separate commercial entity in 2015.
Although the companies will retain their affiliation, POWERPAC will be given freedom to independently develop its own branded products within the commercial vehicles and road-construction machinery sectors.
POWERPAC will continue to provide vehicles to facilitate the aftersales support activities of POWERPLUS’ global distribution network.
“Our commercial vehicles are already produced under the POWERPAC brand name,” explained Marcus Ong, managing director of POWERPLUS’ International Division.
“However, POWERPAC will become a separate company next year – an affiliate firm of POWERPLUS,” he revealed.
Last week, Ong and his colleagues showcased a range of POWERPLUS-branded construction machinery and POWERPAC-branded vehicles at bauma China 2014. In addition to being available to commercial customers, the latter will continue to play an important strategic role in the aftersales support activities of the former.
“This year’s edition of bauma China is the first time that we have shown our POWERPAC’s double-cabin pickups,” said Ong.
“One of our display units is configured as a service truck. We are actually sending this model out to our distributors to help them provide effective and punctual aftersales service that minimises the downtime for POWERPLUS machinery,” he told PMV.
