Cheng Gong has revealed that it’s in the market for a Qatari distributor.
The Chinese construction equipment manufacturer is also on the look-out for a prospective channel partner in the UAE.
At present, Cheng Gong sells its machinery directly across most of the Middle East, but the firm told PMV that it would like to expand its regional distribution network.
“We already have distributors in Iran and Saudi Arabia,” explained Kevin Lee, marketing representative at Cheng Gong’s overseas marketing department.
“However, we would like to strengthen our Middle Eastern distribution network.
“We are primarily interested in Qatar. We already have some customers there, but we have been selling directly. We’re now looking for a steady distributor,” he revealed.
Cheng Gong produces an array of wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, and motor graders at its Chengdu factory in China’s Sichuan province. Although the manufacturer has identified Qatar as its key distribution focus, it is also interested in securing partnerships in other Middle Eastern territories.
“We have also sold machinery directly to customers in the UAE,” explained Lee.
“This is another country in which we are looking for permanent representation.
“So far, we’ve been focusing on securing dealers in the European market. However, we are keen to hear from interested distributors in the Middle East,” he told PMV.jaidah
