US mining firm, ASARCO Ray Mine, has painted its Liebherr T 282 bright pink in support of breast cancer awareness month.
Employees used 35 gallons of pink paint and 20 gallons of grey paint to adorn the giant mining unit – one of the largest haul trucks in the world – with its new colours.
Workers at the Arizona mine were also invited to use the truck as a canvas to write the name of loved ones who have been affected by the disease.
At present, ASARCO runs 21 Liebherr T 282 B trucks, and two T 264 models. So taken was the company with its haulers new paintjob, that it has decided the colour is here to stay.
“[We] would like to extend [our] thanks to ASARCO Ray Mine for using a Liebherr mining truck to help spread breast cancer awareness,” commented Liebherr Mining Equipment Newport News Co.
