Ritchie Bros. to hold 3-day live equipment auction in Netherlands facility with several side events

Ritchie Bros. will hold a 3-day live auction event in The Netherlands in October.

Global machinery and assets auction leader Ritchie Bros.has announced a three-day equipment auction event titled ‘Moerdijk Live Xperience’ to be held in the city of Moerdijk in The Netherlands, from October 10 to 12.

Ritchie Bros. said that apart from an equipment auction, the three-day event will feature mini events on-site, including workshops, a mini tradeshow, hospitality and other fun events.

The line-up in the auction will include various items from the world of equipment, such as excavators, wheeled loaders, dump trucks, compactors, access equipment, telehandlers, and other types of machinery.

According to reports in Construction Europe, the event will feature live auctioneers and ‘bid catchers’ for many of the lots, returning to Ritchie Bros.’ usual auction format that was used in Moerdijk before the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Moerdijk Live Xperience will be a truly immersive and international event that reflects our brand’s commitment to bringing people together and delivering innovative solutions,” Sam Wyant, President of International Sales at Ritchie Bros, told Construction Europe.

“This event will showcase our live auction format along with our Timed Auction format, however, the real key to our success has always been the way Ritchie Bros. connects our global buyers and sellers. Today we have more ways to do that than ever before.”

Auction with side events

The side events at the three-day auction includes a mini tradeshow, showcasing a range of industry solutions and services available under the Ritchie Bros. umbrella – including Rouse Services, SmartEquip, Mascus, and more.

Ritchie Bros. said there will also be an ‘Insights’ session, featuring industry experts providing insights into navigating the ups and downs in the equipment market.
