Keir International, telecommunications and electrical technologies services, infrastructures, and turnkey solutions provider, has recently announced the signing of two significant contracts from the Saudi Electricity Transmission Company.
These contracts have a combined value of $44.2 million (SAR 166 million) and are aimed at extending high-voltage underground cables in strategic locations, Keir International wrote in a statement posted on it its website.
Under the first contract valued at around $23 million (SAR87.2 million), Keir International will undertake the extension of 110 kV high-voltage underground cables to facilitate the connection of Al Haram station as part of the program to bolster the infrastructure of major cities in Madinah, the statement noted.
The second contract, worth around $21 million (SR78.7 million), entails the implementation of a project to extend high-voltage underground cables, connecting the West Taiba station to the Haram station.
“This project is part of the Greater Cities Enhancement Program in Madinah,” Keir said.
Keir International has set a target to complete both projects by the first quarter of 2025, ensuring timely and efficient execution of the vital infrastructural upgrades.
According to Keir, the financial impact of these contracts will be witnessed in the second half of 2023 and throughout 2024.
