Insurance company AXA has launched a new free messaging system for customers whose vehicles are undergoing repair. The automated service, which is the first of its kind in the region, sends text messages from the repairer to the vehicles owner, ensuring they can track the progress of the work and avoiding the need for customers to contact the garage or AXA for an update.
The new service, called AudaWatch, was developed by digital technologies leader Audatex and will launch in the UAE before being rolled out across other AXA regional operations. The insurer, which has a select panel of approved repairers, currently approves more than 90% of all motor claims within just 3 hours and is confident that the new service will provide customers with greater transparency around their vehicle repairs.
Stefan Schrey, Head of Claims for AXA in the Gulf, said; “We recognise that people can find being without their vehicle a challenging experience so we are actively looking at ways to make the repair process faster, simpler and more transparent. By sharing updates with customers via text message they can better manage any alternative transport and have a clearer sense of when their vehicle will be returned to them.”
