Bristol Vehicles Manufacturing Division (Bristol VMD) has entered into a GCC-wide distribution partnership with Ambulanz Mobile.
The deal will see the Abu Dhabi-based emergency vehicle manufacturer become the sole regional distributor for Germany-headquartered Ambulanz Mobile.
Under the terms of the agreement, Bristol VMD, part of Concorde-Corodex Group, will be given the opportunity to customise Ambulanz Mobile vehicles according to the specifications required by local emergency services.
Following the signing of the agreement, Bristol VMD said that it is anticipating strong demand for customised emergency vehicles from clients such as Abu Dhabi Police and Dubai Corporation and Ambulance Service (DCAS).
Commenting on the tie-up, Mahmoud Awad, managing director of Concorde-Corodex Group, said: “To be able to take a vehicle built by Ambulanz Mobile to the highest European safety standards and customise it according to the specifications of our local clients is an aspect of our service that we are proud of, and that distinguishes us from our competitors.
“Bristol VMD is very confident that emergency services throughout the region will be hugely impressed by the design, performance, and safety features of the world’s most advanced ambulance. We expect strong growth for Bristol VMD as a result of this partnership,” he added.
Last year, Bristol VMD sold 35 Ambulanz Mobile vehicles to Abu Dhabi Police. The firm expects its enhanced local customisation capabilities to lead to an uptick in sales across the region.
GCC-bound Ambulanz Mobile emergency units will be produced at Bristol VMD’s 20,000-sqm Abu Dhabi site, which features an assembly plant, a testing facility, and a warehouse. The vehicles will be assembled locally and fitted with medical equipment according to client requirements.
In addition to firefighting vehicles and ambulances, Bristol VMD also offers rapid intervention vehicles, service vehicles, and extendable vehicles.
The company plans to expand and supply to international markets such as Africa and Central Asia in the coming year.
