Gargash Enterprises has revealed plans to use Gulfood Manufacturing Dubai 2016 as a platform to launch a new range of Mercedes-Benz distribution models.
The firm, which is the authorised general distributor for Mercedes-Benz in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, will unveil the latest Vito, Accelo, Atego, and Sprinter vehicles at the exhibition.
The launch will be held in conjunction with Daimler’s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) division.
Roland Schneider, president and chief executive officer of Daimler Commercial Vehicles MENA, said: “Mercedes-Benz is providing a full range of premium trucks and vans dedicated to the food and beverage distribution segment.
“With the launch of the new Vito panel van and the new distribution trucks Accelo and Atego, we are further expanding our product [offering] here in the MENA region. In the food industry, providing reliable, prompt, and high-quality delivery is key for our customers. Mercedes-Benz has the right product and service solutions to meet these demands.”

The Mercedes-Benz Vito represents a new offering for the UAE’s mid-sized van segment. Available with three wheelbases, the model has been designed around load capacity, driving comfort, and safety.
The Accelo 915 C is a compact truck designed for urban transportation. The vehicle features a payload of more than five tonnes, and is powered by a 150hp four-cylinder engine.
The Atego 1418 and 1725 models are available in 14t and 17t gross vehicle weight (GVW) variants, and boast four- and six-cylinder Mercedes-Benz engines, respectively.
Gargash will also use the F&B exhibition to showcase the latest version of Mercedes-Benz’s Sprinter van.
Gulfood Manufacturing Dubai 2016 will take place at Dubai World Trade Centre from 7-9 November, 2016.
