Euro Auctions, the global auctioneers of industrial plant, construction equipment and agricultural machinery, continues to build upon its success in the Middle East. Its latest Dubai auction on 9 March 2020 drew in an ever-increasing number of bidders, doubling interest over the same month in 2019 by over 100%, doubling the hammer total, doubling the number of lots for sale, and doubling bidders and buyers, whilst reaching out to a greater global audience.
Within the last 12 months Euro Auctions Dubai has gained increasing support from consignors and buyers. The recent one-day sale resulted in over 50% of all bids were transacted online proving the success of the marketing reach for this sale. Average lot prices were up over 100% reflecting the quality of the equipment being consigned to the auction by the ever-expanding number of vendors. New bidder registrations for this sale were also boosted significantly by 150% new / first time bidders; around one-in-three of whom placed successful winning bids.
Bidders came from across the Middle East including UAE, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Jordan as well as from Turkey, Egypt and Pakistan plus there was a strong Western European contingent, with the UK, Netherlands and Germany well represented.
Derek Bleakley, general manager, Euro Auctions, Dubai, commented: “At this Dubai sale, over 70% of all equipment sold was purchased by buyers from the UAE, Africa, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia. The rest of the inventory was bought by European buyers, with top buying countries, in order, being Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, and the UK.”
