Buyers have been out in strength at Ritchie Bros’ final auction of the year in Dubai as total bids came to $26 million on the first day.
Although the auctioneer is unlikely to surpass the $1.8 million it raised for a single item in October, it has already surpassed the totals in March and July.
Guylain Turgeon, managing director, EMEA region told PMV: “Yesterday was a great sign that there is some recovery and some confidence returning to the market. People were bidding quite actively. We’re very pleased.”
