Hertz Corporation has announced that Hertz Dayim Equipment Rental has expanded its KSA operations with the opening of a greenfield facility in Riyadh.

Although one of the branch’s main goals is to cater to growing infrastructure-related demand in Saudi Arabia’s Central province, the location will also serve the region’s multi-billion dollar commercial, government, military, construction, event, and industrial sectors.

“Hertz Dayim Equipment Rental, the joint venture of Hertz Equipment Rental and Dayim Systems, is continuing its rapid growth across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” commented Lois Boyd, president of Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation.

“The Central Province is considered a strong market opportunity due to massive spending on large-scale urban infrastructure projects. This includes the Riyadh Metro project, as well as multi-billion dollar initiatives for the financial district, medical cities, commercial centres, and highways and bridges,” she explained.

The rental firm is already a registered vendor with multiple contractors working on the $22bn Riyadh Metro project: a six-line, 85-station public transport construction initiative that will be built within the space of five years.

As with Hertz Dayim’s Dammam and Jeddah locations, which serve KSA’s Eastern and Western Provinces respectively, the capital-city location will be used as a central base to rent and sell equipment and tools, as well as to provide comprehensive fleet management services.

Chairman of Hertz Dayim Equipment Rental, HRH Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan, said: “With branches now in all three major regions of Saudi Arabia, we will be able to serve a wide variety of projects and clients across the Kingdom. The new branch in Riyadh is positioned to meet the requirements of the major urban infrastructure projects that are currently underway, including the much-lauded metro rail system initiative for the capital.

“We also plan to continue our expansion and open smaller regional centres in Saudi Arabia to complete our nationwide presence, and move closer to our vision to become the number-one equipment rental company in Saudi Arabia,” he added.

The firm’s portfolio includes a diverse range of lines, including earthmoving, materials handling, and power generation equipment. Hertz Dayim’s Riyadh branch will be no exception, offering equipment and tools such as backhoe and skid-steer loaders, aerial work platforms (AWPs), telehandlers, forklifts, compressors, light towers, and generators. The spectrum of represented brands is equally impressive, with names such as JCB, Case, Doosan, Genie, Himoinsa, JLG, and Atlas Copco on the books.

The Central Province facility is located on Riyadh’s Khurais Road; one of the busiest highways in Saudi Arabia’s capital city. The branch boasts a 7,000m2 yard, a shop, and a branch office, and offers easy access to Riyadh’s five industrial cities.
